In 2024, from August 1st to October 3rd, Warsaw celebrated the 80th Anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. These 63 days are always significant for the Polish capital and its citizens, as both residents and government officials participate in various events honoring the city's tragic past. For this milestone anniversary, Polish scouts from across the country — representing various troops, teams, and banners — gathered in Warsaw to assist and celebrate. I accompanied one of the scout groups during this special time, witnessing their activities, such as aiding the surviving Warsaw Uprising insurgents, officiating at the Commencement of the Scout Rally, participating in the Parade, dancing the Polonaise in historic Castle Square, and enjoying inter-troop integration and a Ceremonial Bonfire. This is a brief story documenting that memorable time.
